Nym token exists in 2 networks: Ethereum and the native Nym network in the Cosmos ecosystem. In this article I will tell you how to convert Nym token between the networks.

Buy Nym tokens on an exchange. For example, Bybit. And send them to your Metamask wallet on the Ethereum network.

To add them to Metamask: switch to the Ethereum network, at the bottom of the wallet click on +Import tokens, select the "Custom token" tab and enter the Nym token smart token in Erc-20 0x525A8F6F3F3Ba475286868cde25164382BfbaE3990e1. When the token symbol and the number of decimal places are pulled up - click "Add custom token".

We will also need a Keplr wallet and ~0.005 Grav tokens to pay commissions on the Gravity Bridge ecosystem Cosmos network. We can get Grav tokens by exchanging Osmosis for any supported token. I exchanged Atom for Grav. To send Atom from the exchange, take the address in your Keplr wallet.

Go to the Osmosis website, connect your Keplr wallet. On the Assets tab, click on the Deposit button.

Select the token you want to exchange. In my example, Atom. And click Next.

Confirm the action in the wallet by clicking Approve

You enter the deposit amount and confirm the action in your wallet.

To swap, go to the Swap tab, select the tokens we want to swap (Atom to Grav), enter the desired amount in tokens and click Swap.

We can change the tokens for gas payment from Osmo to Atom

Withdraw Grav to the wallet from the Assets tab. Click Withdraw

Next, go to Gravity Bridge Portal and connect our Metamask wallets in the Ethereum and Keprl networks. Select the Nym token, the number of tokens we want to convert, and the address of the wallet that holds Grav tokens (copy it from Keprl).

Confirm the action in the wallet and click Begin transfer. You will need Eth to pay for gas in Ethereum network (~0.0015 Eth at 12 gwei). The transaction takes about 20 minutes.

Gravity Bridge -> Nym

To transfer Nym tokens to Nym wallet, change the network on the portal from Gravity Bridge to Nym, select Nym token, the number of tokens we want to convert and the wallet address in the format n1.....

Confirm the actions in the wallet.

The transaction goes quickly enough. Check the balance in Nym wallet.
